IceFest has been named Franklin County’s Favorite Annual Event in the 2026 Ben’s Pick Contest by the Franklin County Free Press.

The annual winter celebration was selected by readers as a favorite among the businesses, organizations, events, and community attractions that make Franklin County special. The recognition adds another highlight to an event that has become a familiar part of the county’s winter calendar.

Held the last weekend in January, the pop-up weekend event brings ice sculptures, activities, and entertainment to downtown Chambersburg, giving residents and visitors a reason to bundle up celebrate during the colder winter months.

Artists transform blocks of ice into detailed works of art, creating an outdoor gallery to explore while strolling through the streets and sipping hot cocoa. Beyond the sculptures, IceFest offers a variety of activities and attractions, such as the Snowfall Ball, Run Your Ice Off 5K, Sp-ICE It Up! Chili Challenge, Art After Dark, food vendors, wagon rides, and so much more. Come see what all the excitement is about this winter.
