Martin’s Potato Rolls: The Taste is Golden, Globally!
The following story was provided by Olivia Martin, great-granddaughter to Martin’s founders, Lloyd and Lois Martin.
Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.® is a family owned and operated business that produces and distributes high quality potato roll and bread products throughout the local community, as well as around the globe.
Martin’s prides itself on keeping the #1 Potato Roll in America status by baking the best products using only the highest quality ingredients like: high protein unbleached wheat flour, real milk, potato flour, real butter, pure cane sugar, and turmeric powder for that iconic golden hue.
Maintaining popularity does not come without first maintaining a strong sales distribution support and providing excellent customer service. From restaurant executives to everyday shoppers, Martin’s is determined to treat all those who seek their products like family.

Many great companies started with a humble success story, and Martin’s is no exception to that. Back in 1955, Lloyd and Lois Martin renovated their small one car garage into a fully functioning bakery. They delivered their pastries every weekend to local farmers markets and quickly gained traction. People couldn’t get enough of the subtly sweet, rich, buttery potato roll and bread products, and they soon expanded into grocery stores. In 1978, the small company decided to build a larger bakery in order to keep up with the demand.
Pushing forward into the present day, the corporate headquarters has been added to the location of the first larger industrial bakery. That bakery has since expanded in size and a second bakery was built in Valdosta, Georgia. The additional production capacity has allowed Martin’s to expand nationally and internationally – with Martin’s products now being distributed in over 70 countries! Martin’s is surely on their way to becoming the #1 Potato Roll in the world.

Martin’s does even more than feeding people. They give back to the community. Martin’s philosophy of giving began with Lloyd and Lois Martin and is still an integral part of the business today. The third and fourth generations of the Martin family make it a priority to serve the community by donating a portion of earnings to select charities and organizations every year. Some of these organizations include homeless shelters, halfway houses, summer camps, and local food banks.
