CVBA Business Breakfast to Feature Federal Reserve Economist Ryo Tashiro

The Cumberland Valley Business Alliance (CVBA) will welcome business and community leaders from throughout the region on December 16 for its 2026 Annual Business Breakfast featuring an economic outlook presentation from Ryo Tashiro of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Tashiro, an outreach economist and advisor with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, will provide attendees with insight into current economic conditions and the trends shaping the business environment. His work focuses on economic and labor market conditions, demographics, and other factors affecting communities and businesses throughout the region.
The presentation will offer local business leaders an opportunity to better understand the economic landscape as they plan for the year ahead. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session with Tashiro.
Before joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Tashiro worked as a business analyst for Bloomberg, where he conducted research related to equity data quality.
“Businesses are constantly making decisions based on the economic environment around them, so having access to this type of insight is incredibly valuable,” said Stephen Christian, President of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to bring Ryo Tashiro to our community and give local business leaders the opportunity to hear directly from an economist with the Federal Reserve.”
In addition to the economic outlook, the Annual Meeting will highlight CVBA’s accomplishments throughout 2026 and recognize individuals who have made a significant impact on the regional business community. The program will include presentations of the 2026 Business Person of the Year and Ambassador of the Year awards.
The CVBA Annual Business Breakfast is open to both CVBA members and nonmembers and provides an opportunity for business and community leaders to connect, gain valuable economic insight, and look ahead to the year to come.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses interested in supporting the event and increasing their visibility among regional business and community leaders.
