For more than a century, F&M Trust has provided personalized financial services across Central Pennsylvania, earning its place as the largest locally owned community bank headquartered in Franklin County. Since its founding in 1906, the bank has demonstrated steady growth, navigating challenging times such as the Great Depression and achieving the distinction of being among the first banks to join the FDIC in 1933.

F&M Trust has established itself as a regional innovator, introducing forward-thinking initiatives such as an employee retirement fund and opening Franklin County’s first drive-up banking facility. Throughout the mid-to-late twentieth century, the bank steadily expanded its reach with new locations. The formation of its holding company, Franklin Financial Services Corporation, in 1987, and its listing on Nasdaq in 2019, marked significant milestones. F&M Trust continued its growth by expanding into Cumberland, Dauphin, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Washington Counties (Maryland), as well as relocating to a new corporate headquarters in 2022.

As a leader in digital banking, F&M Trust has been at the forefront of technological advancements, launching online banking services in 2001, introducing a mobile banking app in 2012, and unveiling the region’s first .BANK domain website in 2018.
