WellSpan Health recently hosted an Open House at 22 St. Paul Drive in Chambersburg, Pa. to celebrate the growth of its new Family Medicine Practice & Residency Program at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. The Open House highlighted their new program, which is designed to educate residents in high quality, evidence-based patient care.

WellSpan Health continues a strong commitment to medical education by bringing this valuable asset to the Chambersburg community. Family physicians are the major providers of primary care supporting the area, so starting a Family Medicine residency is an important milestone. Donna Prill, MD, is the program director.

The residency program will have its inaugural class begin in July. It is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and is collaborating with Keystone Health FQHC as additional training site for residents. The program is based in a newly renovated Family Medicine office/residency center and is a level 3 patient-centered medical home practice site.
