Local nonprofits, education groups and government organizations interested in volunteer project assistance are encouraged to submit project proposals for the Leadership Franklin County Class of 2025.

Students enrolled in the leadership program, hosted by the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation, are required to work on a team project during the nine-month course. These community projects allow participants to enhance their leadership and team-building skills by collaborating with local nonprofits.

Organizations interested in submitting a proposal will need to attend a mandatory virtual information session to be eligible for their proposal to be considered. Two dates are available to choose from: Monday, May 13 or Tuesday May 21.

Registration for the virtual information sessions can be found at Zoom information will be sent with the registration confirmation.

Proposals are being accepted through June 21, and the scope of the work should be designed so that projects can be completed from September 2024 through April 2025. Proposal status announcements will be made on August 9, 2024.

Organizations should carefully read the Request for Proposal (RFP) packet before attending the virtual information session as the packet has been updated and revised from previous years to better support the students and foster project success.

Complete details and the RFP packet can be found on the Leadership Franklin County website at  Specific questions about the process can be directed to Ginny Harriger at the Chamber Foundation by emailing
