The Chambersburg Area Development Corporation, an affiliate of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, was pleased to support the Women Build project with funding and a ladies’ team build day recently.
CADC committed $15,000 to the Women Build project in 2022 and served as one of the Women Build T-shirt Sponsors in 2023. The project is led by the Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County and has an all-female team of volunteers committed to supporting the community.
The Women Build project broke ground on Warm Spring Road in March and is building a single detached, three-bedroom home with an estimated completion date of December 2023.
The Women Build House Dedication will be held on Sunday, December 3 at 3p.m. at the South Hamilton Community Association pavilion in Chambersburg. The Women Build House will be open for tours following the ceremony (event is rain or shine, no chairs will be provided).
Habitat for Humanity builds decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need of a decent place to live. Habitat homebuyers help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. CADC is proud to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
