The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce Orrstown Bank has generously committed $15,000 in Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) funds.

The contribution will support the Chamber Foundation’s Technology Innovation Challenge Grants, which are awarded to educators in Franklin County’s public schools for students in Kindergarten through grade 12. Educators submit proposals for unique technology programs, which are reviewed by a subcommittee of the Chamber Foundation comprised of board members and retired educators. Projects that have recently received funding include computer coding for early learners, online history archive for high schoolers and others.

The Chamber Foundation is an approved Educational Improvement Organization, allowing all contributing organizations to receive Educational Improvement Tax Credit through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Since 1999, the Chamber Foundation has funded more than $449,000 from this grant program.
