The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce that Orrstown Bank has generously committed $10,000 in Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) funds to support Foundation initiatives.
The contribution will be used to provide Technology Innovation Grants for educators in Franklin County public schools. These grants are awarded annually to encourage the innovative use of technology for students in Kindergarten through grade 12.
The Chamber Foundation is an approved Educational Improvement Organization, allowing all contributing organizations to receive Educational Improvement Tax Credit through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
“The Foundation and the Technology Innovation Grant program could not operate without generous contributions such as these,” said Virginia Harriger, executive director of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation. “We appreciate Orrstown Bank’s longstanding commitment to the Franklin County education community and are proud to recognize their EITC-eligible donation.”
